Us

Actually, its mainly me. But I can build and lead an expert team for extra-large projects. I was formerly a partner in design consultancy Precise Communication and before that a designer, which amounts to over 20 years of corporate literature experience. Words have always been central to my interests. Now Im a professional copy-editor and proofreader, an advanced member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP) and an SfEP Accredited Proofreader. I help clients improve their written corporate communications. Heres an example of why it matters

Say what you mean or else

A long time ago at Precise Communication, we quoted for quite a nice project for a potential client that I wont name here. Towards the end of my covering e-mail, I wrote I look forward to hearing from you. and signed off. When a few days passed and we hadnt heard, I fired off an e-mail asking for feedback. (If you dont ask, you dont get.) In reply I was told our written proposal was great; the quote was fine, but that what Id actually written, in error, was form you. And for that reason alone, we were not appointed. Apparently, it didnt show that we had the level of attention to detail they were looking for and I agree.

I reckon if we were called anything other than Precise Communication, we would have been forgiven. That said, lesson learned and it never happened again. I used to say to clients like it or not everything you do communicates something about you, and there was proof that it does.

E-mail me for a quote on a project or phone 020 3262 3059.
